
A scientific and practical conference “Vocational education in terms of global challenges” continues its work today in the National Library.
The floor was already given to representatives of Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Among the issues to discuss is key directions of secondary vocational education development, perspectives for the development of technical and vocational education in Belarus and CIS countries.
During the plenary session, deputy minister of education Alexander Kadlubai stated that the headline of the conference is truly topical in the modern world.
It is noted that global challenges are characterized by geopolitical and economic transformations in terms of fastened development of digital technologies, constant changes in labor market in the aspect of intellectualization of jobs and causes inflicted by COVID-19 pandemic and existing danger of future epidemiological outbreaks.
“All this challenges are not overwhelming in their influence on society, economics and vocational education. That is why the agenda of this conference is relevant for discussion of possible scenarios of strategic development of vocational education system on national and international levels in the frames of integration associations, rethinking the role of the labor resource development system of the CIS member states in the context of paradigmatic transformations of the modern world of work". - stated Alexander Kadlubai.
During the panel discussions, the participants discussed mechanisms for predicting the professional skills of the future and possible models for the development of social and professional partnerships, best practices and experience in training and educating future professionals in an era of uncertainty, joint activities in developing an international network of competence centers, increasing the potential of managers and teaching staff in system of vocational education.
The conference participants got acquainted with the experience of the competence center in the field of energy efficiency, energy saving and ecology, organizing training on its basis for various categories of the population from school and college students to students and teaching staff of higher education institutions, as well as employees of enterprises in the real sector of the economy, scientific organizations and public associations.
“I believe that the experience gained during the panel discussions will allow us to develop recommendations for improving national vocational education systems and determine the direction of international cooperation for the benefit of our countries. I am convinced that such meetings of the scientific and pedagogical community will invariably contribute to strengthening the potential of science and practice in solving the problems of economic growth of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States,” Alexander Kadlubay expressed his opinion.
The closing ceremony of the conference will take place today at the House of Culture of the National Center for Artistic Creativity for Children and Youth. Guests of the event will see an exhibition of educational technologies and a gala concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the educational institution “Republican Institute of Vocational Education”.
