Belarusian schoolchildren have less than a month to rest before the start of the new school year. At the same time the process of preparing educational institutions for the September 1 is being carried out in a planned manner. All schools must receive certificates of readiness on time. Close focus is on issues of the safe stay of children, access control, transportation of students, staffing, compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, and the work of food units.

Participants in the press conference at BELTA examined in detail the comprehensive preparation of preschool and secondary education institutions in Minsk and the Minsk oblast for the start of the school year.

Thus, there are 470 preschool education institutions in the capital and every single institution meets the requirements by 100%.

The issues of providing places for preschoolers are relevant for the Minsk oblast. Experts reported that if it is not possible to provide a spot for a child within walking distance, the problem is solved by providing a place in preschool education institutions in Minsk along the parents' route to work.

To add, an interactive map with information on the availability (absence) of vacancies in preschool education institutions in Belarus is posted on the website of the Ministry of Education.

In August, every regional and city executive committee of the Minsk oblast will make a decision on organizing transportation of students. It is planned that in the oblast more than 12 thousand schoolchildren will be transported to school by 321 buses with video surveillance systems.
