April 7, representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the Department of State Social Support and Social Services of the Committee on labor, employment and social protection of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, representatives of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Mother and Child”, as well as the public association “Belarusian Association of Parents of Large Families” discussed current issues of state support for large and young families in 2024. The discussion took place at a press conference in the Press Center of the Press House.

The speakers answered questions about state guarantees in the fields of education, healthcare, pension, labor, tax and housing legislation.

The chief specialist of the department of social, educational and ideological work of the main department of educational work and youth policy of the Ministry of Education, Elena Voitekhovich, indicated that large families, families who have adopted orphans as well as children left without parental care and families raising disabled children, all these families receive the necessary state support.

No doubt that family is the most important source of formation and development of personality, it gathers traditions, spiritual and moral values and passes them to the next generations. It is no coincidence that the family is at the center of the state’s socio-demographic policy. And that is why the state must support families.
