March 30, in Belarus, active preparations have begun for children's camps for the summer health campaign. Today, in various parts of the country, all concerned citizens have begun actions to improve and restore territories, including the ones of recreation centers.
The joint anti-dirt forces of the Ministry of Education and the management and staff of BNTU, deployed their ready to clean it all troops on the site of the “Polytechnic” sanatorium. A few hours of cleaning, improvement and greening resulted in a transformation of the sanatorium. Thus, the participants of the spring work marathon energetically and unanimously planted more than 30 thujas, removed last year's foliage, and also updated the stage covering.
For the educational department, participation in the cleanup event on the territory of the Polytechnic sanatorium has already become a solid tradition. Over the course of four years, this favorite place for students has changed significantly and has become even more attractive.
Youth representatives and teachers also take an active part in the improvement of both individual institutions and entire cities. For example, students and teachers from the Minsk City Pedagogical College today cleared a slope along the Menka River, where a landscape park will subsequently be built. Let us remind you that the Minsk settlement is an archaeological site which, according to archaeologists, was the place for the first ever settlers of the then-established Minsk.
As part of the traditional republican voluntary action “Adnavim Lyasy Razam”, student teams are actively working to plant forests.
The regions have proactively joined the “eco” therapy. The work was organized not only in connection with the upcoming health season. Everything is clean and ready for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
Numerous memorials and monuments, mass graves and burial places of civilians who died at the hands of the Nazi invaders are silent witnesses to the events of the Great Patriotic War. It is the duty of contemporaries to take care of them and keep them in a good condition. Much work in this direction is being carried out in the Baranovichi region. The anti-dirt forces worked hard, putting in order the mass grave of Soviet soldiers, partisans and fellow countrymen who died in battles with the fascist invaders, near the agricultural town of Girmantovtsy.
Work actions will last until the republican cleanup day “subbotnik”, which, according to tradition, will take
place in the second half of April.
