These days are filled with sincere emotions of joy and empathy for every adult who takes part in the marathon of good deeds.

Today, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko, Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Kadlubay, the leaderships of the Myadel District Executive Committee, the Republican Institute of Vocational Education and Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov came to congratulate the pupils of the Krivichsky Special Treatment and Educational Vocational Technical School on the upcoming New Year holidays.

The event was also attended by students from the Krivichi educational and pedagogical complex kindergarten-secondary school.

In a conversation with the children, the Deputy Minister of Education expressed his belief that loving your native land and taking care of its prosperity is the honorable duty of every citizen of our native Belarus.

Congratulating children and teenagers on the upcoming New Year and Christmas, Alexander Kadlubay emphasized: “The family and the state invest large resources in your development. Diligently learn to live in peace with other people, acquire new knowledge, read, play sports, gain knowledge about your future profession. It is very important for us that you remember to take responsibility for your behavior, become hardworking and diligent, and be able to build your life in such a way as to help others and benefit society and the state.”

Igor Karpenko also noted that the “Our Children” campaign allows every child who does not have the opportunity to be with their family on these pre-holiday and holiday days not to be left without attention. It was noted that it is very important that adults who participate in such events show examples of how to live successfully in our country, work for the benefit of people and our beloved Belarus.

Along with an assortment of sweets, the pupils were given valuable New Year's gifts. The creative team of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov and Belarusian pop stars performed a bright and fiery concert program.

The honored guests also got acquainted with the material and technical base and training conditions for students of the Krivichsky Special School. Here are teenagers with difficult lives who are sent by court decision for offenses or crimes that do not pose a particular danger to society. Some don't have parents. And the majority stumbled and used alcohol or drugs. Someone already has a criminal past: petty theft or hooliganism.

A large socio-pedagogical and psychological service works with students. During information hours, conversations, trainings, and business games teenagers learn how to constructively conduct dialogue and resolve conflicts in a non-violent way.

In addition, the guys who studied at lyceums and colleges before entering a special school take vocational training courses here and receive the profession of a car repair mechanic, plasterer-painter, tiler, and vegetable grower. Upon leaving the institution, adolescents are reinstated to their place of study or find employment if they have reached 18 years of age.

By court decision, minors may leave the institution early due to successful completion of the program, academic success and exemplary behavior. School workers monitor their further fate throughout the year.

Such closed institutions are under special control of the Ministry of Education and local authorities. Each student receives an individual approach.

I would like to think that the emotions the guys received today will remain in their memory for a long time. And this holiday will help you take another significant step in your quest to become better.
