Events to involve young people in science are held throughout Belarus during the Week of Youth and Students, said Anastasia Kiselevich, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education.
Anastasia Kiselevich noted the importance of the participation of the Council of Young Scientists in the Week of Youth and Students. "The Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education pays great attention to working with young people. The events organized by the councils of young scientists of higher education institutions will be held throughout the country during the week. They are aimed at involving young people in science, popularizing scientific activities and improving the system of conducting scientific research", - she said.
Anastasia Kiselevich said that part of the events took place in the youth capital of 2023 - Novopolotsk. On the first day, Polotsk State University hosted an intellectual game "What? Where? When?", in which members of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education, students, young scientists and working youth under 35 took part.
On the first day, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov hosted a presentation of VSU scientific schools. The participants considered the experience of preparing applications and implementing scientific projects through financial grants from the Ministry of Education and projects of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Basic Research.
Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies hosted a presentation of an exhibition of scientific developments and a tour of the scientific industrial laboratory of grain products of this educational institution.
On the second day, scientific activities will continue. Members of the Council of Young Scientists will speak to students, undergraduates and graduate students of Polotsk State University with popular science lectures, as well as share with youngsters their experience of working with young scientists. An important element of the program will be visits to enterprises.
On June 21, representatives of the Council of Young Scientists will visit the National Children's Technopark, where they will deliver a popular science lecture on the principles of information security.
