Minsk, 22 January. For second day in a row, students, teachers and college students do not postpone their opportunity to cast their votes for peaceful and successful future of their motherland.
Education Minister Andrei Ivanets casted his vote at one of the polling stations. He confessed to journalists that early voting is his own tradition.
“Early voting is a tradition for me because having my vote casted early I can devote my weekend to family, work or my own hobbies. When you come to the station you understand that you have fulfilled your civic duty that all of us have to fulfill,” he said.
He also added:
“As for the education system, I am sure that today the largest industry in our country with more than 450 thousand employees certainly votes for the solid development of the education system. In Belarus, the education system is given great attention at the level of the Head of State. We see what attention is paid to everyone: from our preschoolers to students who, in our universities, actually receive a ticket to life, professional activity and their development. Therefore, of course, I am sure that today we are all making a choice precisely for our calm, progressive development without upheavals so that there is continuity of generations and the youth could calmly look forward, and the older generation be confident that the country will be in good hands.”
