The enrollment in universities remains at the level of last year. In 2025, Belarussian universities are ready to admit 48.3 thousand applicants. The plan for the budget education has been increased by 400 people compared to the 2024 level. In total, it is planned to admit about 31.8 thousand students on the budget.

Thus, among them, 3.9 thousand (12.3%) are future teachers, 3.4 thousand (10.8%) are doctors, 2.8 thousand (8.9%) are farmers, almost every fourth and this is more than 7.5 thousand (23.6%) - are engineers.

At the same time, taking into account the specialties most in demand by the economy, as well as bringing the structure of university enrollment in line with the prospective needs of personnel customers, university applications for paid education have been reduced.

Currently, Education Ministry, jointly with interested parties, is forming a plan for admission on the terms of targeted training. Targeted places will be approved and posted on the websites of educational institutions by May 1, and for pedagogical specialties by June 1.
