From May 8 to May 18, 2023, a delegation representing educational institutions and organizations of the Republic of Zimbabwe, headed by the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Professor Amon Murvira, is on official visit to the Republic of Belarus.

The Zimbabwean delegation includes heads of departments of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary, Science and Technology Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe, heads of the National Geospatial and Space Agency, the Center for Education, Innovative Research and Development, heads and teachers of universities and colleges of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

On May 11, the delegation visited the branches of the educational institution "Republican Institute for Vocational Education" (EI RIPO).

Members of the delegation of educational institutions and organizations of the Republic of Zimbabwe learned about the work of the Intersectoral Competence Center in the field of ecology, energy and energy efficiency of the branch "EcoTechnoPark-Volma" of EI RIPO. The guests visited the laboratories of the center, where they saw options for using renewable energy, thermal power and water treatment technologies, as well as equipment for studying modern energy-saving technologies and energy efficiency.

Rector of EI RIPO V.N. Golubovsky informed colleagues from the Republic of Zimbabwe about the activities of EI RIPO and its branches, the specifics of the work of the branch "EcoTechnoPark-Volma" of EI RIPO, the features of the vocational education system of the Republic of Belarus.

Then the visit of the Zimbabwean delegation to the branch of EI RIPO "Minsk State Automotive College named after Academician M.S. Vysotsky" took place, where the delegation members visited the Competence Center for car service and electric vehicles of the branch, got acquainted with the infrastructure of the center, equipment of classrooms and laboratories.

A signing ceremony of Memorandums of Understanding between the EI RIPO and the educational institutions of the Republic of Zimbabwe: the University of Zimbabwe, Midland State University and Harare Polytechnic College took place at the "Minsk State Automotive College named after Academician M.S. Vysotsky".
