The main protagonists are final year students at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. They have to shoot a film about Belarusian state symbols to successfully defend their diploma.

They are young, ambitious and eager to shoot the movie best-seller and film-festival dominating one.

In the beginning, they struggle to work as a team because young boy is a cameraman dreaming about being a laureate of world film festival and does not want to work with “directress”. Plus, he believes she is not a “high art” directress but a rather low television one.

However, his team mate loves her career and dreams about her own TV show, she dares snobbish “shutterbug” to challenge by declaring he is afraid to fail…

Dare accepted! In the process, they discover the secrets of the modern Belarusian statehood museum, participate in auto-rally, in filming of Independence Day parade and concerto and even receive an opportunity to be the solo spectators at the exclusive performance of the Presidential orchestra.

But the most important is that while recording interviews with experts in the field of recent history, heraldry and music, they find the answers to the important questions: what do our state symbols mean to our young and respected age peoples? What does it mean to be a patriot and why do our people love their motherland? And the most important one – what is the national code that unites all of us into a single nation?

The author of the script and director of the feature documentary film was Kirill Khaletsky. Not so long ago Khaletsky graduated from the Academy of Arts and now he is a laureate of international film festivals and a rising star of Belarusian cinema.

Starring in the film were Vladislav Solodov and Darya Lazarchik, among the experts were famous culture activists, musicians, historians, museum workers, auto-rally participants and just people who care.
