Congratulations to the employees of educational institutions implementing educational programs for vocational, technical and secondary specialized education.

Today our country traditionally celebrates Vocational Education Day. For the education system, this holiday is an important milestone in the formation and development of a key level of professional training.

This year, vocational education is 83 years old.

October 2, 1940 is the ratification day of the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR “On State Labor Reserves of the USSR”. The decree defined three types of schools: vocational schools, railway schools and schools of factory training.

The system of vocational and secondary specialized education nowadays represents a unified system for training workers and specialists in demand in the country’s economy.

In modern realities, time places high demands on teachers and industrial training specialists. The task is not limited to teaching a person and help him gain work skills, it is also about educating highly qualified personnel for Belarus.

You open the way for many young men and women to adult, working life, and are the first mentors in their chosen profession.

Thank you for your tireless work and dedication to your chosen profession.

I sincerely wish you good health, inexhaustible energy, successful realization of your plans, new professional achievements for the benefit of the national education system and the Republic of Belarus!

Sincerely!

Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets.
