Concrete actions: Education Minister held meeting with workers in Nesvizh


  Nesvizh, 15 January. Education Minister Andrei Ivanets went to Nesvizh to meet with Nesvizh Baby food plant employees. The meeting was held in the frames of single awareness day. The main topic was key aspects of the President’s address to Belarusians and National Assembly voiced at the 2nd meeting of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress.

Regional development and human resources were the issues that gained close attention from Minister. “Establishment of high-quality social infrastructure is the basis of demographic safety and a motivation for specialists to stay in regions. Nesvizh region is the role model” Andrei Ivanets stressed and pointed out that Nesvizh is one of the leading regions were teaching personnel prefers to remain and the figure exceeds 94%.

Participants also discussed strategic achievements and priority development ways of the country, these include:

*Economics and export: Belarus reached 50-billion-dollar export level and sells its goods to almost 190 countries of the world.

*Regional development: “One region-one project” initiative is successfully being implemented. Thanks to it, 6 thousand work places created in the country, including 24 at Baby food plant.

*Power independence: Bel NPP strengthened power safety of the country and allowed to introduce e-heating, e-transport as well as develop new fields, including digital technologies.

*Agrarian sector: Despite challenging weather, a record harvest of 11 million tons of grain and 6 million tons of sugar beets was harvested in 2025; over 9 million tons of milk were produced.

*Year of the Belarusian Woman: Declared in 2026, it aims to strengthen demographic security and enhance the role of the family in society.

*Strategy for the Future: The Socioeconomic Development Program for 2026-2030, developed following a nationwide discussion and aimed at improving living standards, was approved.

Concluding the meeting, Andrei Ivanets noted: “Our future is in unity and concrete actions by everyone”.

The audience was active. They asked questions on current ways of state’s policy.

Following the meeting, Ivanets visited educational institutions in the Minsk Region: the Yakub Kolas Nesvizh State College and the Gorodeya Specialized Boarding School. He reviewed the students' learning and living conditions and discussed issues related to teacher training at colleges and the specifics of special education institutions.
