Belarusian Delegation is about to return from the 2nd International forum of Ministers of Education “Shaping the Future” with many agreements reached. This year Kazan is the host of a large-scale event scheduled from June 9 to June 12 and more than 100 representatives of foreign countries partook.
In the frames of the forum’s schedule and meetings of the ministers of education of the BRICS countries, the parties discussed the issues of international educational environment, the systems of values, upbringing and evaluation criteria for the assessment of education quality and its accessibility. The forum is a never-to-miss opportunity for representatives of various countries to share opinions on the role of education in economy development, on peculiarities of work with youth and children with complicated diagnoses.
Before the forum Andrei Ivanets met with his colleague of Egypt Mohammed Ayman Ashur. The parties have agreed to launch cooperation in personnel training for jobs required by the economy with one of the largest countries of the Arab East. Top priorities for cooperation, including in the frames of joint programs, are in machinery, micro-electronics and engineering. The ministers spoke about cooperation in science as well and it includes hosting and participation in competitions, direct interaction between scientists and teaching staff.

Currently, cooperation between Belarusian and Egyptian institutions of learning is provided by 11 agreements on cooperation. Andrei Ivaners invited his colleague to visit Belarus with the aim of holding the 2nd forum of rectors of the two countries. Andrei Ivanets noted: “The forum will expand further development of cooperation and friendly relations between Belarus and Egypt in science and education and the forum is a solid opportunity to discuss prospective ways of bilateral cooperation”.
Also during “Shaping the Future” forum, negotiations were held with the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov. Now our countries interact in such key areas as science and higher education. At the meeting the parties discussed the issues of creating a network university of the Union State.

This time they also talked about joining forces to jointly improve engineering education. Now this work is being carried out on the basis of the Advanced Engineering School of the Union State of Pskov State University. Particular attention is also paid to the organization of the Youth Forum of the Union State and the festival of student amateur creativity “Student Spring of the Union State” all to be held in 2025.
In addition, the Minister of Education of Belarus Andrei Ivanets held negotiations with representatives of delegations from departments of the People's Republic of China, South Africa, Cuba, Serbia, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan.

A number of meetings took place at leading universities in Kazan. For example, at the Kazan National Research Technological University, the issues of training specialists in the field of high-energy products, the use of Belarusian flax in scientific developments, as well as the implementation of joint educational programs were raised.

Meanwhile, at the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev- KAI, the discussion was about training in unmanned technologies. As part of the meeting, an agreement on the implementation of joint educational programs was signed between BSTU and KNRTU - KAI.
