Today Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets is visiting Verkhnedvinsky District as part of a working trip.

The program includes the reception of citizens and representatives of legal entities, visits to educational institutions of the district - familiarization with the material and technical base, the conditions for organizing the educational process and the priority areas of activity of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 2 of Verkhnedvinsk named after the Hero of the Soviet Union N.V. Troyan", meeting with heads of educational institutions and teachers of the district.

During a visit to the State Educational Establishment "Secondary School No. 2 of Verkhnedvinsk named after the Hero of the Soviet Union N.V. Troyan", the Minister of Education met with the teaching staff, saw the organization of the educational process, visited classrooms, a catering department, a school museum of local history and a pre-conscription training center.

The educational institution received new opportunities for organizing the educational process in 2018. The school has been overhauled and modernized, the building has become energy efficient: solar panels installed on the roof of the school provide hot water to the educational institution, and due to the insulated walls, students and teachers are always warm in the off-season.

There are 503 students in the school, 195 of them study on the first stage of general secondary education, 261 of them on the second stage, 47 on the third. The school has 51 teachers, 23 of them are graduates of secondary school No. 2 in Verkhnedvinsk of different years. Among them are three laureates of the regional stage of the competition of professional skills "Teacher of the Year of the Republic of Belarus".

Teachers are proud of their gifted and talented students. Secondary School No. 2 in Verkhnedvinsk occupies a leading position in the regional year-round sports and athletics and is a regional base for training athletes for regional and republican competitions.

For all schoolchildren of the district schools studying academic subjects at the basic level, within the framework of the subject "Labor training", vocational training was organized in the professions "Joiner" and "Seamstress" with the issuance of a certificate of assignment of the II qualification category.

In addition, the school is equipped with CNC (computer numerical control) machines: laser engraving, milling and 3D printer, which allows children to learn how to create a three-dimensional design of an object and turn a virtual model into a real object using a computer program. As part of the sixth school day kids attend the interest association "Technical Modeling". Kids from other schools of the Verkhnedvinsky district love to join the event as well.

The key features of secondary school No. 2 in Verkhnedvinsk are flexible differentiation, a wide choice of areas of study. Today, school students can choose mathematics, chemistry and biology, Russian, Belarusian, English to study it hard at an advanced level.

There are also intellectual and creative associations, sports sections. Students of secondary school No. 2 in Verkhnedvinsk are active participants in Subject Olympiads, creative competitions, art exhibitions, festivals, sports competitions at the district and regional level.

The meeting of the head of the department with the heads of educational institutions of the Verkhnedvinsk region was also informative. Topical issues of the educational process, the results of the trial CE, the degree of readiness for a centralized exam, the entrance campaign, the further functioning of educational institutions, the quality of education, and the training of specialists were discussed.

The Minister paid special attention to the issues of raising children and youth, prevention of family troubles, illegal behavior.

In general, in the 2022/2023 academic year, 29 educational institutions operate in the Verkhnedvinsky district, as well as the State Educational Institution "Social and Pedagogical Center of the Verkhnedvinsky District", the State Educational Institution "Center for Correctional and Developmental Education and Rehabilitation of the Verkhnedvinsky District", the State Educational Institution "Verkhnedvinsk Regional Center for Children and Youth ”, State Educational Institution “Verkhnedvinsk Regional Educational and Methodological Office”. The education system of the district employs 851 people.

Every year, groups of pedagogical orientation begin their work in the district. As a result of the admission campaign in 2022, 14 graduates of the 11th grade and 13 graduates of the 9th grade entered pedagogical specialties in the country's specialized educational institutions. Of these, 12 entered under agreements on targeted training.

One of the priority areas of work in educational institutions is civic-patriotic education. In the 2022/2023 academic year, four educational institutions were named after Heroes of the Soviet Union, famous countrymen. School museums have been created and continue to develop in three educational institutions, it is planned to open a museum room dedicated to the navy in the gymnasium. In the schools of the district, tourist and local history and excursion work is actively carried out.
