The Ministry of Education will hold a trial for the centralized exam on January 27, 2024.
For this purpose, 144 places have been allocated. More than 58 thousand graduates of general secondary education institutions will take part in the CE trial, which is 5 thousand more than last year. Registration, transportation, accompaniment of children by teaching staff, as well as control will be organized in full accordance with the instructions.
The trial will follow the same rules as the centralized exam in May 2023. It is planned that the results will be processed within two weeks, and within three weeks all results will be communicated to the participants.
A special feature of the centralized exam trial in January will be that it will be held in all subjects of the students’ choice, including the state language - Russian or Belarusian.
“The last trial we conducted only for the “elective subject” exam without the state language. This time, the children will be able to choose one of the official languages or another subject of their choice that they want. I would like to note that this academic year, both during the first stage of trial testing and during the subsequent ones, as well as during the trial of the centralized exam, tests with included tasks of the fifth level of complexity will be used. This was done in order to bring the assessment criteria at school into full compliance with the assessment criteria of the centralized exam, which is the final form of certification of graduates,” said Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets.
It was noted that the results of the CE trial will not affect anything. The centralized exam trial is carried out so that 11th grade graduates can go through the full exam procedure, starting with arrival, transportation - for those children who are in rural areas and filling out forms.
This is also a good opportunity to test your strengths, because the structure and complexity of the tests during the centralized exam rehearsal will be fully consistent with the structure and complexity of the tests that will be offered during both the centralized exam and centralized testing this academic year.
In addition, the conversion scales for both primary scores into test scores and test scores into a ten-point score will be the same as those used during the centralized exam and centralized testing in the last academic year. They are published in the public domain and will not be changed.
A list of questions for applicants who will be applying for the targeted form of training is also freely available on the website of the Ministry of Education.
It is planned that the centralized exam this academic year will be held on May 27 and 30, these will be the main days.
“In order to ensure equal and fair conditions for graduates of this year and graduates of previous years who enter universities, it is planned that the timing of the centralized exam and centralized testing will be the same,” the head of the department indicated.
