More than 1 thousand children and teenagers from Belarus and Russia took part in the International Festival-Contest of Children's and Youth Creativity “Rainbow over Vitebsk”
Vitebsk, July 15. A gala concert of the laureates and an award ceremony took place at the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers. The competition lasted two days.
The Rainbow over Vitebsk festival is being held for the 14th time. Every July, it complements the brightest Slavic Bazaar International Arts Festival. Thus, performances of young talents at concert venues give residents and guests of the city a lot of vivid impressions and emotions.
Every year, the festival-competition in the city on the Dvina is held with the support of the Ministry of Education, the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly on Education, Culture and Science, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Belarus - the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Minsk, and the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.
This time, the highlight of the festival was the participation of representatives of the International Association “Twin Cities” and the International Festival-Competition of Russian Culture “Istoki”.
This year, the guys showed what they are capable of in such competitions as instrumental, vocal-choral, folklore-ethnographic, choreographic, theatrical creativity, as well as fine and decorative arts.
The performances were judged by cultural and artistic figures and teachers. Among them are Honored Artist of Belarus Ksenia Pogorelaya, vocalist of the Youth Variety Theater “Gunesh”, silver medalist of the International Competition of Pop Song Performers “Vitebsk - 2019” Ivan Zdonyuk and others.
To show the best skills, to demonstrate the diversity of talents, to touch the beautiful, to share experiences and to find new friends... It is for these opportunities that the children value participation in the festival-competition “Rainbow over Vitebsk”. Perhaps, the most important thing for them is the development of abilities and broadening their horizons, the attention and support of the audience, as well as the inspiration that, they admit, they draw here for years to come.
