Brest is about to host a republican holiday “Brest - youth capital of the Republic of Belarus – 2024”. This holiday will span across three days from February 15 to 17. Last year the capital was in Novopolotsk and it will pass on the baton to Brest for the current year.
Brest is ready to receive around 400 people from all over the republic. Among the guests are provosts, volunteers, activists, heads of agencies etc.
The participants will pass by an organized column holding the national flag to the eternal flame located in the memorial complex “Brest Hero Fortress”. In the fortress they will lay flowers paying respect to the fallen defenders of Fatherland.
The program content for that festive event includes a work campaign “We’ll build the patriotic center together!” on the territory of the Brest Fortress. It also contains dialogue platforms, workshops, webinars, master-classes and informative sightseeing tours as well.
The event will end with a solemn opening ceremony of the republican holiday “Brest - youth capital of Belarus – 2024” involving management of the Ministry of Education.
Youth capital is a yearlong title and a city obtains an opportunity to show its commitment to modern youth culture, its best practices for the development of social, economic and political activities of young people.
Thanks to the honored title a city gains necessary experience in working with youth and it acts as the main platform for the realization of creative initiatives and important projects of young people from all regions of the country.
