«BramaMar» - the way to the creative dream

From April 5 to May 15, Belarus welcomes the literary republican contest for young writers and poets “BramaMar” (Dream’s gate) named after Vladimir Kaptsev.

The contest is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the BSU faculty of journalism and its host is the department of literary and artistic criticism.

The focus is on nurturing spiritual culture in the younger generation as the basis for the formation of a civil worldview, understanding and love for domestic and world literature as well as discovering and supporting young talents.

Thanks to participation in BramaMar, young authors will be able to express themselves, take a special educational course and publish their first masterpiece in one of the literary and artistic publishing houses of Belarus.

This is also a great chance to establish communication between authors, an opportunity to listen to objective criticism, discuss your works with writers and poets, and improve one’s literary skills.

Each age category has its own competition. Thus, students of 1-4 years of the country’s universities participate in “BramaMar”, and students of 8-11 grades of general secondary education institutions demonstrate their creative abilities in “BrahmaMar-Uni”.

The competition consists of several stages: First stage is acceptance of applications and competition materials until April 20; by May 10 the winners will be announced, and by May 15, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the creative direction will be held at the Faculty of Journalism of the BSU.

Among the available categories for the competitors are: for pupils – “Prose” and “Poetry”; for university students – “Poetry”, “Prose”, “Criticism” and “Dramaturgy”; for all age groups – “Scenarios for computer and tabletop role-playing games.”

The languages of presentation of the presented material are Russian and Belarusian.

The creativity of young authors will be judged by jury members - famous writers, literary critics, playwrights, journalists and critics.

The laureates of the competition will receive diplomas as winners, and the remaining participants will receive certificates.

In addition, the finalists will enjoy special master classes, workshops, and one-on-one communication with jury members.
