Minsk, 17 November. Belarusian State University team claimed first place at international competition RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) 2025, being held in Abu-Dhabi and ended 15 November.
Three BSU students took part and won “Soccer of wheeled intellectual robots RoboCupJunior Soccer Lightweight”. Their names are Nichael Maistruk (1 year at faculty of applied math), Gleb Davidovich (1 year at faculty of radiophysics and computer technologies), Vladislav Golik (3rd year at faculty of radiophysics and computer technologies.
Their robot was constructed and programmed entirely inside the BSU premises. It demonstrated the best tactics, accuracy and autonomy among other 22 competing countries. In the finale Belarusian team left much to be desired to Russian and South-Korea (2nd and 3rd places respectively).
The championship gathered more than 700 participants and included competitions in three categories: soccer robots, rescue robots, service robots.
Belarus was also represented by two teams of schoolchildren of Gomel in RoboCupJunior age group.
Remind you: Earlier, BSU team won gold at “RoboFinist 2025” international festival (Cronstadt, Russia, 1-2 November) thusly confirming Belarusian students’ lead at the international arena.
These achievements are the results of a systematic work of Education Ministry, teachers and universities aimed to develop engineering thinking, digital skills and scientific-technic potential of Belarusian youth.
