Minsk, 15 January. International Zhautykov Olympiad om math, physics and informatics is one of the most prestigious competitions for young talents. This year’s 22^nd edition took place from January 10 to 15 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Held under the aegis of the Kazakhstani Ministry of Education and science, it’s been uniting people from around the globe for more than 20 years, developing international cooperation, experience share and promotion of physics and mathematics.

This year’s competition saw more than 600 participants from 16 countries. Belarus was represented by 14 talented school students who did quite well and won 10 medals.

Results:

*Math:

- 2 silver medals

- 2 bronze medals

*Informatics:

- 1 gold medal

- 2 silver medals

*Physics:

- 2 silver

- 1 bronze medal

Flawless performance! Triumph! Our kids proved Belarusian education is the basis for achievements on world stage. Their success is the result of hard work, support from teachers and parents as well as of systematic work aimed to find and develop talents in our country.
