Belarus to present scientific, technical and innovative developments at the international exhibition International Trade and Industry Fair in Pakistan

Published:09.03.2023

From March 10 to March 12, Karachi (Pakistan) will host the International Industrial Exhibition "International Trade and Industry Fair".

More than 350 companies from different countries of the world, including China, Iran, the UAE, South Korea, Turkey, Belgium, Germany, annually take part in the specialized exhibition in the South Asian region. The number of visitors is more than 50 thousand people.

A wide range of machinery and equipment will be presented at the largest event in the region. The main sections of the exhibition: agriculture, automotive, machine tool building, energy, metallurgical and mining industries, construction, petrochemical industry, etc.

The business program will include the Belarusian-Pakistani business forum, negotiations, as well as presentations of the trade and economic potential of the Republic of Belarus.

Belarus will present 39 developments of Belarusian scientists from 7 scientific and research and production organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and institutions of the Ministry of Education.

Among the most interesting developments is electronic ceramics and products based on it from the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Materials Science. Including ceramic insulators and housings for microwave filters, dielectric resonators, resonators for antennas, products based on piezoelectric ceramics.

In addition, the SPC for Materials Science will present a graphene-containing material and products based on it. It can be used in structural elements, energy storage, lubricants, sorbents, sensors.

The Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry of the National Academy of Sciences presents dry starter cultures and a biopreservative at the exhibition.

Also at the exhibition will be presented micro- and nanotechnologies of superfine magnetic-abrasive polishing of BNTU. Their purpose is ultrafine polishing of high-precision surfaces to nanolevel roughness, correction of the surface shape of optical parts, increase in the radiation strength of parts of optical and laser devices, cleaning of surfaces before welding and coating, increasing the resistance to corrosion, wear and mechanical destruction of parts made of metal alloys, single crystals and ceramics.

The developments surpass the best world analogues in terms of technological capabilities, economic and environmental performance. Technologies and equipment are of interest to machine and instrument making enterprises, including manufacturers of optics, lasers, and electronics.

About two dozen developments will be presented by BSU. The exposition includes radio-absorbing materials of the KUP series, which are designed to protect aircraft from the effects of electromagnetic radiation. In particular, materials can be used to cover the internal niche of a weather radar in civil aircraft, as an absorber in the development of compact anechoic chambers, matched loads.

Also among the developments of BSU is "Technology for the synthesis of new polyols from secondary and natural raw materials for the production of polyurethane foams", based on the processing and use of secondary raw materials to produce polyols.

In addition, liquid crystal materials, a multi-channel spectrometer, a mobile power source for charging supercapacitors and electric transport batteries, a V-590 HALTUS elevator motion parameter recorder, and light-absorbing composite materials will be presented.

By the way, Pakistan is an important trade partner of Belarus. The basis of Belarusian exports to Pakistan is complex technical, chemical and food products with high added value: tractors, trucks, parts and accessories, tires, chemical fibers, cellulose.

Karachi is the financial and economic capital of Pakistan and is one of the five largest cities in the world in terms of its share of GDP.

The participation of Belarusian enterprises and organizations in the National Exposition within the framework of ITIF will help establish new business contacts with potential partners and increase Belarusian exports.
