Bragin, August 14. Education Minister Andrei Ivanets was on a working visit to the Bragin District to personally study the work of educational institutions, support the teaching staff and conduct an open dialogue with residents and representatives of the local community.
Inspection is not the purpose of the visit, it is live interaction aimed at identifying current problems, exchange experiences and find joint solutions for the further development of the education system.
Receive citizens: hear everyone
The Minister's working day began with a reception of citizens in the administrative center of the district. Residents of Bragin addressed Andrei Ivanets with questions, suggestions and wishes for improving the quality of education, learning conditions and support for families with children.
Each request was recorded and taken under control. As the Minister emphasized, "Only by listening to people can we build a system that truly meets their needs. Direct dialogue is not a formal thing it is the basis of effective state policy."
Bragin sanatorium kindergarten: ecology, care and agricultural education
One of the key places of the visit was the sanatorium kindergarten of the urban settlement of Bragin. The Minister inspected the children's living conditions, assessed the level of amenities and learned about the educational projects implemented by the teachers.
The environmental direction of the institution's work made a special impression. Preschoolers proudly told about their experience of growing flax and buckwheat from sowing to harvesting. These projects have become part of the educational trajectory, where children from an early age learn to take care of nature, the basics of agriculture and labor education.
"Besides knowledge, such initiatives form in children responsibility, love for their native land and respect for labor" noted Andrey Ivanets. "This is an example of how education can be both lively and practice-oriented."
Center for Correctional and Developmental Education: Individual Approach and Innovation
The Minister's attention was also riveted on the Bragin District Center for Correctional and Developmental Education and Rehabilitation. There, Andrey Ivanets studied the working conditions of specialists, methods of supporting children with special education needs and the use of modern technologies.
The center actively uses individual educational routes including special programs. Innovative tools play a special role.
"Every child feels important here," the Minister emphasized. "The professionalism of teachers, attention to detail and the introduction of advanced practices are the basis of inclusive education where there is no place for indifference."
Meeting with teachers: a conversation about the future of the school
An open discussion with district teachers was held in the assembly hall of the Bragin Secondary School. Participants discussed key challenges and prospects for the development of the education system:
*modernization of educational standards,
*implementation of digital technologies in the educational process,
*advanced training of teachers,
*support for young specialists and motivation for professional growth.
Andrey Ivanets noted that the state will continue to invest in the professional development of teachers, expand access to modern educational platforms and strengthen the social status of teachers.
"School is not only knowledge, but also a space for inspiration. Our task is to create conditions in which a teacher feels supported, and a student feels confident in his future,” the Minister said.
Education and Business: Together on Personnel Training
An important part of the trip was a meeting with representatives of local enterprises, agricultural organizations and public structures. The discussion was devoted to issues of interaction between education and the economy.
The participants agreed that personnel training should be practice-oriented. Particular attention should be paid to the development of career guidance work, internships at enterprises and the creation of conditions for the employment of graduates in their home region.
“We must train not mere specialists but people ready to work in real conditions,” Andrei Ivanets emphasized. “Education and business must speak the same language so that young people see prospects here, in Bragin, in the Gomel region of our Belarus.”
Result: dialogue as the basis for development
The working visit of the Education Minister to the Bragin district was not just a test, but a real dialogue – with children, teachers, parents, entrepreneurs and the public.
"We come not to point out shortcomings, but to see how the system works, to hear those who work in it, and to look for ways of development together," Andrei Ivanets summed up. "Each such visit is an opportunity to strengthen trust, support initiatives and make education even better, more accessible and fair." The development of education in Belarus is a continuous process. The visit to Bragin was another important step on this path.
