Address of the President to the Belarusian people is a strategy for the immediate development of our country
Today Belarusian President delivered an annual address to Belarusian people.
In his address the head of state always presents tasks to be solved in short and long terms, ways of state’s development in case of difficult and rapidly changing terms of inner policy as well as ways to preserve peace and balance.
President pointed out that the theme of today’s event is "Conditions for the Preservation of Sovereignty and Independence". And he explained why this topic is important: “Never before in the history of our country, especially in the history of our independent Belarus, has the issue of sovereignty and independence been so acute. Never before in history have we approached such a dangerous line when it is necessary to pay special attention to the preservation of the sovereignty and independence of our country. I mean our recent history."
The event is organized in a wide format at the Palace of the Republic. Among the invitees are parliamentarians and delegations from the regions and the city of Minsk, senior officials of the country, members of the government, heads of state bodies, the media, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, heads of religious confessions, parliamentarians of past convocations, representatives of the real sector of the economy, youth , representatives of civil society, journalists. In total, more than 2,500 people took part in the event.
In his Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly, the President of Belarus stated that it is necessary to raise the role of science in the development of the country, including scientists, by an order of magnitude. The head of state drew attention to the fact that domestic science can do a lot: from artificial intelligence to vital medicines and technologies. This was demonstrated by the exhibition "Belarus Intellectual", which was held in all regions.
The issues of education were discussed as well. “Native education should meet the needs of the Belarusian economy,” the President stressed. In addition, it should be looking to the future and form a new type of worker - competent, flexible, proactive, ready to live and work in an open information society.
Alexander Lukashenko said that all conditions have been created in Belarus for receiving fundamental and applied education in the widest range of specialties. Therefore, people come to our country, for knowledge. “Today Belarus is an educational hub of Eastern Europe,” said the First.
The most important for us is patriotic education. The President noted that only a patriot can educate and rise a patriot: “The spiritual and moral image of the nation is formed in kindergartens, schools, secondary specialized and higher educational institutions. Enormous responsibility rests on the shoulders of educators, school teachers, university professors for maintaining the continuity of our traditional values. The main thing in them is love for their country. And I’ll say it again, because it’s relevant: only a patriot can educate and rise a patriot.”
The head of state also noted such a key point as the cult of a full-fledged family, which should be the lifestyle of Belarusians: “This is the only way we can be sure that the next generations will grow. And that means firmly holding sovereignty in your hands and live in peace.”
Particular attention is paid to small citizens, for whom it is necessary to create the most comfortable conditions. “Children's health is also a matter of demographic security, without it there is no point in thinking about tomorrow. For whom are we building Belarus, a cozy comfortable home? Our generation saved this “well-kept corner” by accepting it from the hands of our parents. Who will live there tomorrow? Who will preserve the native language, the memory of our heroic history, who will take care of the graves of their ancestors, protect motherland? In order to firmly stand on our land, there should be much more of us, Belarusians - this is the most important condition for sovereignty,” said Alexander Lukashenko .
Our state does a lot. Thus, large-scale support is provided to families raising children. Expectant mothers are surrounded by care, their jobs are preserved, the state helps to ensure a balance between family and career. The health system takes care of children even before their birth. The education system creates conditions for caring for children from an early age. Special conditions are provided for large families - housing, family capital, free meals in the garden and school, and much more.
The theses of the Address will be discussed for a long time in political circles, at enterprises, organizations, student audiences and at home.
