2026 summer recreation campaign kicks off in Belarus
This summer's motto: "Never miss a chance! Summer will be diverse!"
This season, nearly 6,000 camps (942 full-time and 5,058 day camps) will host approximately 400,000 children. The main goal is to improve health, develop competencies, and assist with career guidance.
The campaign's key focuses:
* Safety is a priority. Lists of camps that have passed inspections by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are published on the website of the Republican Center for Health Promotion. Check the organization's presence in the registry before signing a contract!
* Patriotic education. Demand for military-patriotic, leadership, and volunteer camps is growing. The "camp within a camp" format and tent cities are actively developing. A camp at the Republican Center for Patriotic Education is now fully operational.
* Social support. The state reimburses part of the costs: subsidies for vouchers range from 127 to 700 rubles. Particular attention is given to orphans (~12,000), children with disabilities (~7,000), and children from large families.
* Professional staff. Teachers and counselors confirmed their qualifications and exchanged best practices as part of the All-Belarusian Counselor Olympiad.
First labor victories:
• Labor and recreation camps (LRO): 14,000 teenagers will learn skills in agriculture, housing and utilities, and the service sector, earning their first 200-700 rubles.
• Secondary employment: 20 million rubles have been allocated to support youth labor brigades.
• Movement teams: School and student teams, jointly with housing and utilities and Zelenstroy, participate in urban improvement projects.
• Job search: Over 20,000 vacancies are available in the "Employment of Minors" section of the gsz.gov.by portal!
Separate oversight is being provided for the constructive engagement of adolescents requiring increased pedagogical attention (in conjunction with the Juvenile Affairs Commission and the Juvenile Affairs Department).
